Q & A

Frequently Asked Questions — Launching Your Church Home Care Ministry

1. What is non-medical home care?

Non-medical home care involves providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's) in the home, for individuals who need support but do not require medical care. This can include tasks like bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, and companionship to the senior population, new mom and baby, disabled community, someone recovering from surgery, and more.

2. How does starting a home care ministry fit with our church’s mission?

Launching a home care ministry is a direct extension of the Great Commission — serving and loving your community in practical ways. It allows your church to meet the growing needs of seniors, create meaningful jobs for your members, and fund ongoing ministry initiatives sustainably.

3. What are the startup costs and how can we fund this ministry?

Startup costs vary depending on your size and location, but our proven model is designed to be affordable and scalable. We guide you in creating a sustainable financial plan so your ministry thrives without draining resources.

4. How do we stay compliant with home care regulations?

Compliance is critical. Our training program equips your leadership team with everything you need to meet state and federal requirements, from caregiver certification to client safety protocols. You don’t have to figure this out alone — we provide step-by-step guidance and ongoing support.

5. Can our church members work as caregivers? How do we train them?

Absolutely. Staffing your ministry with members strengthens your community and mission. We provide customized training resources and coaching to ensure your caregivers are compassionate, skilled, and compliant with all regulations.

6. What kind of ongoing support will we receive after launch?

Launching is just the beginning. We walk with you through monthly coaching calls, strategic planning sessions, and access to a community of other Kingdom Care ministries to share best practices and encouragement.

7. How long does it take to start seeing a return on investment?

While every church’s journey is unique, most ministries begin generating meaningful revenue within 6 to 12 months post-launch. Our system is designed to build momentum steadily and sustainably.

8. What if we don’t have previous home care experience?

No experience? No problem. Our step-by-step training and coaching breaks down every aspect, so you don’t need a background in home care to succeed.

9. How do we measure the impact of our home care ministry?

We help you track both financial results and Kingdom impact — from the number of seniors served to jobs created and funds raised for ministry projects. This holistic approach ensures your ministry thrives spiritually and practically.
